J Camps, located at the JCC of Greater Baltimore, is looking for energetic, dedicated staff members who are interested in working in a fun, creative camp environment this summer. Our programming has a variety of focuses including aquatics, arts & culture, athletics, sustainability and more with a foundation of Judaism. In addition, our training includes child development workshops, skill sharing, and certification in Basic Water Safety and CPR. We hire on a rolling basis.  Our main summer season is June 20 – August 12, 2022, and we offer excellent camper discounts for summer staff.  While most of our positions are full-time, we do have a few that run for only select weeks.     Camp Counselors Needed

    Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. The Counselor is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.

    Counselors needed for the following areas:

    • Teachers for Preschool and Kindergarten Bunks
    • Inclusion Counselors (works 1-on-1 with campers)
    • Sports Camp
    • Performing and Visual Arts Camp
    • Senior Counselors (18 and up) Day Camp

    Archery Specialist

    The Archery Specialist is responsible for creating a curriculum teaching campers how to use the archery equipment and skill development, ensuring camper safety and maintaining equipment. 

    Assistant Arts & Crafts Specialist

    Responsibilities include assisting the Head of Arts in creating a curriculum, maintain supplies, lead activities for children 4 - 13 years old.

    Assistant Athletics

    Responsibilities includes assisting Head of Athletics in developing a curriculum, lead and co-lead sports activities and maintain equipment. 

    Head Ropes Course Specialist

    The Head of Ropes Course is responsible for ensuring safety, checking equipment, leading the team, developing a curriculum for low/high ropes courses. 

    Music (Song Leader)

    The Song Leader is responsible for leading songs at morning flagpole, lunch, Friday Shabbat and also leading interactive music sessions and movement games for our campers.

    Nature Specialist

    The Nature Specialist is responsible for ensuring safety, develop curriculum focusing on hands on nature/wilderness projects, supervise nature activities, maintain nature equipment.
